Cardinals finish tournament with fourth straight win

Dropping only one set against the Albion Britons this afternoon, the Otterbein volleyball team walked away with their fourth straight win of the Otterbein/Capital tournament, 3-1.

For the first two sets both the Cardinals and the Britons would go back and forth keeping the scores relatively close until midway through each set.

That would be when the Cards would begin to pull away and take the first two sets, 25-22 and 25-20, respectively.

However, in the third set Albion took control early and would win 25-23 after a last chance surge by the Cards.

In the fourth set the Cards and the Britons kept the score close at the beginning but midway through Otterbein would go on a 15-4 run that would hand them the set and the match.

The Cards compete again starting Friday, Sept. 6, against Christopher Newport in the Washington and Lee Tournament taking place in Lexington, Virginia September 6-7.
