BLOG: 11 reasons to work for T&C Magazine

It’s hiring season over here at 33 Collegeview as we prepare for the new generation of T&C Magazine. That means we’re looking for talented personalities to carry out the T&C legacy. In the spirit of the season, I’ve developed a small list of some of the perks that come with working for us. If you’re interested in joining the fun, click here.

1. Ever seen “The Devil Wears Prada”? That glamorous editorial life that Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway lead? Yeah, that’s totally us. Complete with photo shoots, champagne and pencil skirts. Our wardrobe sample closet is a little smaller than theirs, but hey, we make do.

2. Deadlines are the only guaranteed way to make your weeks fly by. Break tends to sneak up quickly when you work for us. Working for a magazine is like hitting the fast-forward button on your college career.

3. If you haven’t gotten an adrenaline rush from seeing your name in print and on glossy paper, you clearly haven’t lived yet.

4. Did I mention the glossy paper?

5. We travel to glamorous destinations, like New York City and New Orleans. But really, we actually do.

6. One word: Fame. Working for T&C Magazine, your name will be all over town. You might even become a Wester-lebrity and need a body guard to escort you to the Campus Center. The mobs of fans can be overwhelming at times.

7. The whopping paycheck. Well, the term “whopping” is relative, but an extra chunk of change in your pocket never hurts.

8. The social life. Working on-deadline with staff is a real bonding experience. We’re kind of like our own fraternity…minus the Greek letters and the paddles.

9. We got style. AP style, that is.

10. Exclusive access to all things Otterbein. Some of our staff members have spent a day with the president and gotten behind-the-scenes access to the drag show. No longer are those opportunities only in your wildest dreams.

11. The opportunity to work side-by-side with fellow journalist ninjas who can help you develop your inner Lois Lane or Clark Kent, saving the city of Columbus one story at a time.
