In case you missed it:
US - In the Boston Marathon bombing trial Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was found guilty on all 30 counts against him. The jurors took 11 hours to deliberate before coming to their decision. Defense lawyers will now attempt to keep Tsarnaev from being charged with the death penalty.
World - President Obama and Cuban President Raul Castro sat down for the first meeting between the two countries leaders in more than 50 years.
Coming up:
Hillary Rodham Clinton has announced her long-awaited intention to run as the democratic nominee for the 2016 presidential campaign. Senator Rand Paul also announced his bid for republican presidential nominee last Tuesday.
Otterbein:
Brian Oilar was named the new head men's basketball coach to fill Todd Adrian's former position.
Otterbein men's baseball and women's softball both split doubleheader games last week against their opponents.
The Otterbein equestrian team competed in dressage this past weekend at Miami University of Ohio and dominated the scoreboard both days. The results qualified the team and several individual riders to compete in the Intercollegiate Dressage Association National Championship to be held at Otterbein's Austin E. Knowlton Center for Equine Science on April 25 and 26.
There is a blood drive today in the Campus Center at 11:00 am.
Students who want to become the next Cardy mascot can attend a tryout session on Tuesday, April 14 in the Rike from 5 to 7 pm.
WOBN is hosting a free concert at the Campus Center at 6pm
American Cancer Society's Relay for Life takes place in the Clements Center from 6 pm to 2 am on Friday, April 17. Students are encouraged to register for the event.
