BLOG: Editors pass the torch and the paper goes on hiatus for the summer

Otterbein360 is about to go on hiatus this summer for some much needed rest and relaxation. That means that our regular coverage of campus news is going to come to a halt until fall.

It was an interesting year to be sure, between the "Don't Be A Zebra" and "Where We Stand Matters" campaigns, the Chocolate Stallion and the Dressage National Championships, the news on campus was as wide ranging as it was interesting.

In the fall we will be introducing a beat reporting system. We looked at all the topics that you, the readers, read about most and decided to make them regular reporting topics. We hope that increased attention to these areas is something you will enjoy reading about.

Also, for returning readers, in April our website underwent a much needed face lift. It is now in a blog-roll format that will allow you to scroll, much like you might on social media, through our articles. We hope that this makes the website much more user friendly. If you have any suggestions, please let us know.

Finally, I wanted to thank Gena DiMattio for her hard work with this organization. She was the last student journalist to pass through the organization to have worked on the print edition when it was still called the T&C. She also mentored me and prepared me to be ready to assume the role of Editor-In-Chief in March.

I look forward to the year ahead. For Gena and all the Editors that came before us and especially for all of you readers, It is a pleasure to bring you the news.
