Kalie Green, a freshman nursing major, shared the reason behind her tattoo.
“I got a sugar skull because it is another way to ‘celebrate’ death in the Mexican culture,” Green said. “Instead of mourning, they celebrate. This is how I want to live my life.”
Green hopes to carry this piece with pride, living everyday as a celebration.
