The Westerville Fire Division and the Campus Safety Team hosted Otterbein’s Annual Campus Fire Safety Day to bring awareness to students the importance of fire safety on Sept. 28.
Students had fire extinguisher training and were taught the acronym R.A.C.E. which explains what people should do in the event of a fire. Westerville Chief Fire Marshal David A. Williams burned a dollhouse and used the visual to inform students why they should not prop doors open.
