Otterbein radio station, WOBN, will be hiring five positions. The positions include: Station Manager, Music Director, Traffic & Continuity, Station Administrator and Sports. Applicants will be reviewed starting Friday November 3rd and hiring will begin on November 6th. Positions will start January 2018 and end in December. All applicants must be certified to be on air by December 4th, 2017.

Below are the requirements for each position stated by WOBN.
Station Manager—sets the standards and oversees staff and all activities of the station. Leads meetings and follows up on staff agreements, projects, and other activities. Helps train new staff and rookie members. Liaison with instructor. Works in concert with instructor in relationships with tandcmedia.org, university, department and outside groups.
Requirements: certified; on-going relationship with the station; enough freedom from other campus and personal obligations that at least 10 hours a week—independent of on-air programs—is available for this position.
Music Director—determines the overall sound of the station. Makes sure the sound of the station is unique, very different from the surrounding stations, and consistent with the alternative college radio sound. Listens to new music coming into the station and determines whether it should play on air, and if so, at what frequency—high, medium or light—and makes sure it cycles out gradually and is replaced by new music. The person in this position often puts together a team to work on music selection because it is a time-consuming job.

Traffic & Continuity: Works closely with instructor and Music Director. Keeps and organizes the programming logs. Schedules events to air. Keeps PSAs and promos up to date in NexGen system. Assists station talent with producing promos and PSAs for their shows and other events. Ensures that logs for Public File and Showcase music are in order, works with programmers and talent to make sure promos and PSAs, and station IDs are loaded in and airing in proper schedules, reflecting current programs including showcases and air shifts. Keeps and organizes Public Inspection forms in studio.
Collaborates with tandcmedia.org to put any radio-produced pod-casts, news stories or other productions are loaded for on-line use.

Station Administrator—checks wobn@otterbein.edu email messages and forwards or answers appropriately, lets station staff know about messages when appropriate, picks up and gives out the mail, takes care of the office, bulletin boards, and notes at meetings. Photographs rookies and staff members for different promotional materials and bulletin boards. Posts photos in public places. Keeps track of messages on the phone and answers them or passes them to someone who can. Helps with promos and other tasks as needed.
Sports: works with Mark Pfeiffer, Instructor, and the different sports teams and organizations on campus to determine which sports get covered and how. Prioritizes the use of sports time on-air and the use of secondary channels. Calls games, board ops, acts as liaison with sports organizations on campus and with any off-campus organizations related to Otterbein sports coverage (e.g., NCAA, other teams, etc.). Travels to cover games.
Ensures that game recording and/or scores and commentary are delivered to tandcmedia.org immediately after results are available.
Supervises other members of WOBN who want to work in sports, including the Assistant Sports Director. Assists sports talent in recording shows and ensures that periodic recordings of sports programming are done.
Ensures that sponsorship spots are inserted at appropriate points and recorded. Makes sure recordings are made available to the sponsor or sponsor liaison (e.g., Athletics Dawn Stewart)
Teaches sports equipment use to the other WOBN sports team members. Ensures the equipment room is organized. Keeps track of sports equipment. Suggests/determines new sports equipment or replacement of equipment, as needed.
