Otterbein's women's varsity golf team ends fall with mixed results

The women's golf team wraps up their fall season, looking to improve in spring

Brian Booher, head coach for both the men's and women’s varsity golf, and Abigail Chilcoat, a sophomore women’s golf player, discussed how their fall season went and what to look forward to in the spring.

The team has seven players who practice three times a week at North Star Golf Course in Sunbury.

Last season, Otterbein's team had three of their players recognized as Women's Golf All-OAC players, including Chilcoat.

Women’s golf typically has one full season throughout the year, but due to Ohio’s weather, it's split into two parts: the fall season and the spring season. Last fall, the team won the OAC Fall Preview, finishing 51 strokes ahead of the second place winners of Mount Union.

During the winter months, the team will not be competing, but they will be back on the course at the start of the spring to finish up their season.
