Otterbein hires new chief financial officer and vice president of business affairs

Susan Bolt to arrive mid-January

Otterbein University hired Susan Bolt as the new chief financial officer and vice president for business affairs.

Rebecca Vazquez-Skillings left Otterbein to accept a position at Oberlin College.

Bolt comes from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana where she served as vice president of finance and administration from 2013-18.

She has prior experience in finance management, previously working as a treasurer at Kettering University.

Bolt was one of three finalists chosen by the search committee.

In an email to faculty, Otterbein's President Comerford said, "I was impressed by her collaborative approach to working with colleagues, problem-solving and communication skills, and customer service orientation."

Bolt has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Hartford.

Bolt is replacing interim Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Business Affairs Anne Krieger. Bolt will begin this position in January 2019.
