Otterbein University Student Government prepares for spring elections

Multiple executive positions available in upcoming spring Otterbein University Student Government elections

Otterbein University Student Government (OUSG) will be holding spring elections on March 13, 2019. All positions and offices are available to any student that is eligible and interested.

Elections are held in both fall and spring semester to create more opportunities for students to join OUSG. The organization is still new but has had increasing numbers of students participating as at-large and class senators.

“Given the trend of senators from last semester, if we're able to maintain that, then we’ll have a pretty broad group of people in OUSG,” said Secretary Selena Labair.

OUSG hopes to see students from all academic classes on campus apply to be a candidate for any position.

“We’re hoping to see more contested elections for the executive positions,” said OUSG Vice President Cassandra Rife. “It will be a healthy and shared competition."

Positions include president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, residency senators, academic senators, class senators, distinctive senators, enrollment senators, adult student, transfer, residency senators, commuter, and organization type senators.
