As she approaches her final games as a Cardinal, Dani Kissel is currently second in scoring in Otterbein history, with 1,512 points. She said it took playing with a lot of confidence to achieve this milestone. She also credits her success to those around her.
“I definitely wouldn’t be able to do it without the help of my coaches and teammates,” said Kissel.
Looking back over her four years with the women’s basketball team, Dani Kissel said her favorite memory was when Otterbein beat Ohio Northern 64-56 on Senior Night last year.
She also remembers the numerous times the team beat Capital University. Over her last four seasons, the team has amassed a total of five wins against their cross-town rival. Kissel also went on to score her career-high 44 points earlier this season.
Kissel will finish her Otterbein career in the top 20 in assists. She currently sits at 19 with 198 assists.
Kissel and the Cardinals look to secure an OAC tournament bid, with the team currently sitting fourth in the conference.
