Last night’s Rave alert was a false alarm as a new Westerville police report indicates.
According to the WPD report, the accuser said that she had been kidnapped at knifepoint and sexually assaulted by a black man. Westerville police reported that the accuser admitted the reported information was not true. WPD said that it was an unfounded case.
For now, the investigation has been completed and WPD determined that no one is at risk, according to an email from Otterbein administration.
