Otterbein men's lacrosse team claimed victory 15-11 over Capital University on Saturday, March 22. This marks the team's continued efforts toward the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play.
This win brings the men’s record to 3-4, which also includes wins against Wooster and Berry University. The team hopes to create a winning record by the end of the season.
Andrew Lewis, a sophomore offensive midfielder said, “Overall, it has been a slower start than we expected, but we are starting to find our groove.”
At the end of the 2024 season, the team had finished fifth in OAC standings. As they start to play teams in the conference, they are working to end at the top this season.
“We are working for an OAC championship," Lewis said. "In the OAC, I think we will be fighting for a top three spot."
Lewis stated that playing Ohio Northern University will be the biggest challenge of the season as they were ranked third in the conference for the 2024 season.
The team is scheduled to play Wilmington on Wednesday, March 26 at 7 p.m. and Heidelberg on Saturday, March 29 at 1 p.m.
