First Japanese Student at Otterbein PKG

Twelve Japanese students are attending Otterbein University this year, with many of them visiting as part of a study abroad agreement started in 2014 with Aichi Prefectural University in Nagakute, Aichi, Japan. Otterbein’s first Japanese student came to Westerville from Yamato, Fukushima more than a century ago. Archivist Stephen Grinch tells us about Kiyoshi Yabe, a member of the class of 1912 who went on to become a United Brethren minister. Videography, writing, and editing by Haruho Yamada, Yume Ozaki, and Saori Nagano.
