Diary of Anne Frank production team members explain their vision
February 16Otterbein University’s Department of Theatre and Dance presents “The Diary of Anne Frank” starring sophomore Tatum Beck as the titular character. The play aims to show the realities of the struggles eight individuals faced in the years they spent hiding from the Nazis during World War II. Members of the production team including director Mark Mineart and lighting designer T.J. Gerckens explain how they are hoping the play evokes empathy from the audience and how the subject matter continues to be relevant because of widespread injustices that still occur today. Lighting designer Gerckens also discusses his task of creating a sense of home on the set while also showing the confinement that the characters experienced while living in the annex. Showtimes for the performances are listed on Otterbein’s website along with how to purchase tickets.

Otterbein's Newest Building is under Construction
February 5Renovations at Otterbein's newest building are on schedule, and are set to finish in July 2018. The new additions to the building will include: a cafe, a game room and an outdoor space.
Group fitness classes are available at Otterbein
January 31Otterbein offers free group fitness classes open to faculty, staff and students. The classes are held at the Rike Monday through Thursday. Classes offered include total body training, hip hop cardio, core express, yoga and total body express. The majority of the classes are taught by students.
Internship Awearness Week
January 30Last week the Center for Career and Professional Devlopment held an Internship Awearness week. Throughout the whole week there were multiple different events to help students learn more about their professional development resources here on campus.

November 13Otterbein's Risk Management Office paired up with Student Affairs to host a safety week for its faculty and students. The week included informational sessions on active shooter training, drug and alcohol abuse, and mental health.
