A Change for Otterbein's 13th Annual Take Back the Night

With everything going on in the news right now regarding sexual violence and assult, movements likes Times up and #MeToo have been getting more news coverage and support. Survivors and Advocates have started sharing their stories and sparking a movement that has effect different college campuses across the country For the past 13 years Otterbein Wellness and Tau Epsilon Mu have been hosting the annul event, Take Back the Night. This year Tau Epsilon Mu decided to expand the event to be a week long, and sponsored multiple different events to promote how to stop or prevent sexual assault in your community. The events were: a 5 k run and walk sponsored by Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence, a speech by Jill Davis, A put a nail in it booth, a self defense class and the annual walk around campus If you would like to get involved Take Back the Night happens annually so it will be back next year and Sarnco has multiple different volunteer options And if you or anyone you know needs helps please tell them to tell a trusted friend or family member or call Sarnco’s 24 hour Rape helpline 614 267 7020

Hanby House connection to Underground Railroad

One of the only standing houses left of a University founder, the Hanby House holds a rich history of Otterbein’s past. A site volunteer of 40 years delves into founder William Hanby’s decision to establish the University, his connection to the Underground Railroad, and accomplishments of his oldest son. Golf team prepares to defend OAC Championship Title

Otterbein’s golf team travelled to Florida to compete against Ohio Northern in a three- day competition for its annual spring break trip. The men’s team ended the Cardinal- Polar Bear Challenge with eight wins and three losses in singles and pairs. T&C Media caught up with sophomore Sam Marty, who expressed enthusiasm for the team’s upcoming matches but also a strong desire to share the team’s success with the rest of the Otterbein community.
